According to Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons, Trapp was identified at the Lafayette Walgreens purchasing Pseudoephedrine – a major component in the manufacture of meth.

After being approached by deputies, field interviews were conducted and officers were led to a second suspect who was sitting in a pickup truck in the parking lot.

Both suspects were transported to the Macon County Sheriff’s Department for further questioning and Macon County deputies and detectives then proceeded to Trapp and Farley’s residence on the Westside of the county.

During their search, officers discovered other items used to manufacture meth including rock salt, Coleman fuel, coffee filters, etc.

A container was also found that contained assorted drug paraphernalia and finished methamphetamine product.

Evidence was gathered, which led officers to seize a 2000 Ford pickup truck in connection with the investigation, and a Macon County Sheriff’s Department meth tech cleared the scene.

Teresa Lynn Trapp, age 44, was charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, possession of a Schedule II drug and possession of drug paraphernalia by Officer Donnie Crawford. Her bond is set at $45,000. She currently resides at the Macon County Jail.

Perry W. Farley, age 33, was charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony on March 8 by Officer Donnie Crawford. His bond is set at $60,000. Farley also resides at the Macon County Jail.

The Lafayette Police Department also assisted in the case.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on March 26.

“I would like to thank all of the officers involved with the case for a job well done,” Sheriff Gammons remarked.
