|Election Commission Certifies RBS Election Results|

According to the official election results released by the Macon County Election Commission on Monday, May 4th, electing a city mayor and three city council members in the Red Boiling Springs City Election held Saturday, April 25th, incumbent Kenneth Hollis carried the majority of the votes with 266, with Ray Bilbrey tallying 111, and write-in candidate Mike Silvio received four.
In the race for city council, write-in candidate John Cook officially carried the votes with 197, candidate Cherry Cole tallied 174 votes and write-in candidate Billy Joe Carver snagged the third city council spot with 105.
The official vote count for the remaining city council candidates is as follows:
James Nutter – 104, Lisa McCarter – 65, Patricia Evans – 53, Rosa Marzean – 34, Jennifer Silvio – 34, write-in candidate incumbent Shelly Dean – 31.
One provisional vote was added to the unofficial count released last week to tally the certified numbers.
Election winners will be sworn in on Monday, May 11th, and will gather for the first time during this month’s city council meeting on Thursday, May 14th.
