RBS man accused of raping 4-year-old PDF Print E-mail

Mark A. ColterRed Boiling Springs police arrested 24-year-old Mark A. Colter of 310 Island Loop Road in Red Boiling Springs, on Friday, February 22, for the rape of a 4-year-old Red Boiling Springs girl.

Police have been investigating the alleged rape, along with the Department of Child Services (DCS), since the incident was reported by the girl’s parents, on December 31, 2007.

The investigation concluded that Colter “did unlawfully sexually penetrate a child under the age of 13 with his finger . . . on December 31st 2007” as stated on the affidavit of complaint signed by Red Boiling Springs Chief of Police Terry Tuck.

According to Tuck, the incident was said to have occurred at the child’s home in Red Boiling Springs while Colter was there visiting the family.

Colter is being held on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
