Red Boiling Springs police arrested two men and two women last Wednesday, February 15th, on drug-related charges after a routine traffic stop.
Thirty-six-year-old Laura Holland, 46-year-old Kathy Clark and 48-year-old Theodore Bransford were pulled over by RBS Officer Jesse Gentry after a report that they had been seen on the premises of an apartment complex that Mr. Bransford was banned from.
Upon pulling the trio over, Officer Gentry discovered that Holland was driving on a revoked license and proceeded to do an inventory search of the vehicle.
Methamphetamine precursors including needles, Sudafed and a pipe were discovered during the search.
“At that time, we requested a K-9 to search the vehicle to retrieve anything that may have been missed,” said RBS Chief of Police Terry Tuck. “We received K-9 assistance from Trousdale County.”
All three suspects were escorted to the Macon County Jail where Bransford was charged with criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and promotion of meth manufacture ($40,000 bond), Holland was charged with promotion of meth manufacture ($20,500 bond) and Clark was charged with promotion of meth manufacture, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication ($21,000 bond). They are scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on March 21st.
Upon questioning, officers learned that Holland, Clark and Bransford had just left the apartment of Dennis Lee Stafford and received consent from Mr. Stafford to search his residence.
During the search of his Wendell Lane home, officers located needles, a white, powdery residue on a plate and a small bag of what they believe to be methamphetamine.
The substances were sent off to a lab for identification.
Stafford was booked into the Macon County Jail on $21,000 bond. He was charged with promotion of methamphetamine, manufacturing of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on March 14th.
