Presidential candidate Rick Santorum (R) swept the state of Tennessee on Super Tuesday, capturing 204, 978 or 37.3% of the state’s votes in the March 6th Tennessee Republican Primary. Macon County fell in line with the state majority, with 1,034 votes or 49.89% for the former Pennsylvania Senator. Only four of the 95 Tennessee counties - Marion, Davidson, Williamson and Loudon - backed other Republican presidential candidates. |
