So many people have been killed over the years on the Highway 10 South hill that I’ve lost count, with the latest fatality occurring over the holiday weekend.

George W. Kelley, age 68, of the Beverly Hills Apartment Complex, in Lafayette, died on Sunday, May 27^th. He was driving his 1998 Chevrolet Silverado up the hill towards town, along with his two dogs, when he veered off the right side of the roadway sometime before noon.
