Grand Jury Returns Indictments - Page 2 PDF Print E-mail

Joseph Morgan Lawson was indicted for burglary, theft of property and first degree murder, following his arrest for killing 42-year-old Donald Anderson, at his parents home in the southwest section of Macon County. Sheriff Mark Gammons and his department received a call at 12:13 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, from Haydenburg Ridge Road stating that someone had been shot. Lawson is accused of being armed with a rifle that day while laying in wait for Anderson to arrive at Lawson’s parents home, after he learned of a relationship between Anderson and his girlfriend.

Danny E. Hammock was indicted for possession of a weapon-convicted felon and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon involved, after firing a 22 rifle across Hauskins Hollow Road on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Macon County Sheriffs Department Detective Troy Griggs observed Hammock firing the gun as he was driving his vehicle.

Brandon Dozier was indicted for schedule VI drugs (marijuana and hash), possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, and promoting methamphetamine manufacture. He was found inside the home of Brenda King on Tuesday, August 7th, when the RBS City Police was assisting the DCS on a home visit. The officers discovered marijuana along with paraphernalia at the residence and Dozier was charged.

Michael T. Woodard was indicted for possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated assault-domestic after an altercation at his residence at 301 Hwy. 52 By Pass West. After the city police answered a domestic call at that location they found Mr. Woodard intoxicated. When they searched the home they found paraphernalia, a bottle of pills, along with a little plastic bag with two other pills in it.

Laura Lee Holland was indicted for promoting methamphetamine manufacture and driving while licenses revoked. Holland was driving a car when the RBS Police conducted a routine traffic stop and when the officers discovered her license was revoked they did an inventory search of the vehicle. Methamphetamine precursors including needles, Sudafed and a pipe were discovered during the search.

Alvin W. Newberry was indicted for initiate manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, reckless endangerment-no weapons involved.

Newberry was inside a home at 1532 Wilmore Hollow when the police arrived looking for a missing Trousdale County man. A bottle of product used to manufacture meth was found, along with other components used in the procedure including Coleman Fuel, lithium battries and pseudoephedrine. A one-year-old child was also found at the residence.

Vickie Lynette Gregory was indicted for DUI first offense after crashing her Nissan pickup truck into a patrol car that was stopped on Cold Springs Road Saturday night, October 15, 2011.

Joseph N. Carter, aggravated robbery, theft of property ($10,000-$60,000).

Ronald L. Carter, aggravated burglary, theft of property ($1,000-$10,000).

Trenton Carter, aggravated burglary, theft of property ($1,000-$10,000).

Robert E. Coots, theft up to $500.

Cody McCoin Copas, DUI (first offense), vehicle entering through highway or stop intersection, registration certificate must be carried.

Troy Cunningham, contra in penal facility.

Vickie Lynette Gregory, DUI (first offense).

James Wright Hale, DUI (first offense).

Joel C. Harris, DUI (first offense), seat belt-18 and older.

William Scott Hartnagel, aggravated assault-domestic, rape.

Barbara Jones, probation violation.

Joseph Morgan Lawson, worthless checks-up to $500.

Jasper R. Linville, Jr., theft of property ($500-$1,000), aggravated burglary, theft of property ($1,000-$10,000).

Christopher Todd Massengill, theft up to $500, burglary-other than habitation.

Christopher Todd Massengill, theft of property ($1,000-$10,000), burglary-other than habitation.

Christopher Todd Massengill, schedule VI drugs, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.

Joshua B. McKoin, DUI (fourth offense), financial responsibility law, driving while licensed revoked, implied consent.

Scotty L. Netherton, simple possession/casual exchange, reckless driving by intoxicant, financial responsibility law, obedience to any required traffic control device, open container.
