The Nestlé Waters Red Boiling Springs Bottling Plant received the 2012 Large Business of the Year Award during the annual Macon County Chamber of Commerce Banquet held last Tuesday, November 13.
The Macon County plant began production in May of 2004 and has been a proud supporter of many community organizations since establishing its home in our area.
The many community projects the Nestlé Waters Red Boiling Springs Bottling Plant has been involved in include Project Wet, Spring Creek Clean-Ups in Red Boiling Springs, Relay for Life, Makin’ Macon Fit, the Vision 2020 Heritage Museum and countless donations of bottled water.
RBS Plant Manager Tony Dexter took over as plant manager three-and-a-half years ago, and credits plant employees for the facility’s success.
“It’s always been a vision of this company, and a personal vision of mine, to be a valued member of the community, and it’s nice to be recognized for that” Dexter remarked. “This award is about all of our employees and what all of them, and all of us, do for the community.
“I wish to thank all of our employees for their commitment, the Macon County Chamber of Commerce and everyone involved in giving us this recognition. We are especially grateful to the residents of Macon County and the local businesses in Macon County for making us feel like part of the community.”
