Macon County Sheriffs Department Deputy Lonnie Ferguson passed away on Monday, August 4.

Ferguson was reportedly in Hartsville, changing a tire, at the time of his heart failure.

According to Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons, Ferguson was an employee at the MCSD for approximately three years and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
