Lafayette Man Charged with First Degree Murder PDF Print E-mail

Twenty-four-year-old Derek Williamson, of 411 Jack Porter Rd. in Lafayette, was charged with first degree murder on Thursday, June 19, after surrendering himself to Sumner County police for the murder of 32-year-old Grady Carter of Westmoreland.

According to the affidavit of complaint filed at the Sumner County Sheriffs Department, the Westmoreland Police Department received a phone call at approximately 9:09 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, reporting that shots had been fired in the Ridgecrest subdivision area.
