Tim Booher, Program Director for the Air Evac Lifeteam base located in Lafayette, recently was presented the Patriot Award by the Department of Defense in recognition of his patriotic support and cooperation to his employees. Booher was nominated for the honor by Franklin Copeland, a flight paramedic for Air Evac Lifeteam who is a member of the 278th Army National Guard.

A second female has come forward with new allegations that she, too, was sexually assaulted by Red Boiling Springs Mayor Kenneth Hollis in 2007 while living in an apartment owned by the political figure.

In an exclusive interview with My Macon TV reporter Sally Tausend, posted on the online news site on Monday, March 8, the female’s identity was disguised and her voice altered, as she revealed the details of three alleged incidents during which Hollis touched her in a sexual and unwelcome manner.

The world lost a little piece of sunshine last week, when local business owner, father and friend Bill Duffer, passed away unexpectedly after suffering a heart attack on Thursday, February 25th, at the age of 64.

The man with the quit wit, magnetic smile and generous heart owned and operated Macon Rental store in Lafayette for the past 22 years, where he welcomed customers with more than a handshake; sharing stories, jokes and challenging friends to a friendly game of double-or-nothing dice or coin flipping.
