Billy Augusta Leath of Westmoreland, Tenn. passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the age of 73.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 14 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Emery officiating. Interment followed in the Providence Cemetery. David Leath, Jeff Leath, Jackie Leath, Billy Duffer, Bobby Troutt and Davis Hunter served as Pallbearers.
Mr. Leath was a member of Leath’s Chapel Methodist Church. He was a retired builder and retired from Perellie Tire Company. He was also a United States Army Veteran.
He was the son of the late Obra Leath and the late Cleo Stamps Leath. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, James “Jim” Leath and Earl “Bubba” Leath.
He is survived by wife, Sue Brown Leath; daughters, Cherry Creasy of Gallatin, Debra Donahoe of Westmoreland; sons, Billy Duffer of Gallatin, Bobby Troutt of Westmoreland; brother, Joe (Peggy) Leath of Mt. Juliet; sisters, Jean Shrum and Brenda (Michael) Reed all of Gallatin; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
