Bennie Ruth Russell Bean, age 94, of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away, Thursday afternoon, January 5, 2012 at the Celina Health & Rehab. in Celina, TN.
Funeral Services for Bennie Ruth Russell Bean were conducted Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery. Her family served as pallbearers. Bennie Ruth was born Tuesday, January 23, 1917 in Macon County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Bennett and Laura Polka Bell Russell. On April 10, 1948, she married to Thomas Garland Bean, who preceded her in death on July 13, 1973. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Garlene Ann Taylor and step-son, Billy Hugh Bean.
She was a former cafeteria worker at the Red Boiling Springs School with 15 years of service and a member of the Red Boiling Springs Church of Christ. Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Ardith & Raymond Ingram, Nashville, step-daughter, Peggy Sue (Robert) Maupin, Carthage, step-son, Jimmy Neal Bean, Nashville, 2 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
