Ralph Coney Hudson, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday morning, August 15, 2012 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 18 days.
Funeral services for Ralph Hudson were conducted from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 17th with Mike Rogers officiating. Pallbearers were Jason Hudson, Josh Hudson, Brock Phillips, Jereme Willis, Lanny Hudson, Tony Russell, Joe Hudson, Prentice Hudson and Comer Russell. Interment followed in the Anderson and Son Memorial Park. Ralph was born on November 28, 1935, one of eleven children born to the late Bud and Vera Donoho Hudson. He was married to the former Miss Glenna Doss on December 21, 1957. To this union was born two children, Rhonda and Rocky. Ralph worked as a Cutting Supervisor at Measure Up. He was a member of the White Oak Church of Christ and his favorite past-time was watching his grandchildren play sports. In addition to his parents, six brothers, Doyle Hudson, John Hudson, Roy Hudson, Billy Dowell Hudson, Robert Hudson and Lovell Hudson, and two sisters, Ruby McCue and Wilma Russell preceded him in death. He is survived by Glenna Hudson, his wife of 54 years, daughter and her fiancé, Rhonda Draper and Joe Michael of Goodlettsville, son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Lisa Hudson of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jason Hudson, Josh and his wife Demetria Hudson, all of Lafayette, T.K. and her husband Jereme Willis, Brock and his wife Rhiannon Phillips; sister, Anna Burgess of Elizabethtown, KY; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Jean Hudson of Indianapolis, IN; sisters-in-law, Jean Hudson of Indianapolis, IN, Vetrice Hudson of Greenwood, IN, Nola Mae Hudson of Lafayette and Mary Hudson of Red Boiling Springs; 2 great-grandchildren, Mercediez “Sadie” Phillips and Brianna Phillips.
