Bobby Gene Binnion, Sr., age 79 of the Willette Community in Macon County, TN, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2013 at his residence.  Funeral Services for Bobby Gene Binnion, Sr. were conducted Tuesday afternoon, May 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Rob Whitacre officiating. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery. His family and friends served as pallbearers. Bobby was born Saturday, December 16, 1933 in Macon County, Tennessee, one of twelve siblings born to the late Ray and Lula Gertrude Dycus Binnion. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Danny Binnion, sister, Ruth Dycus and brothers, Bill, Charles, John and Don Binnion. Bobby was employed with the IBEW Electrical Group in Nashville, Tennessee, as an electrician with 25 years of service. Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Bobby & Brenda Binnion, Jr., Willette Community, sisters & brother-in-law, Melba & Bobby Gammons, Paris, MI, Connie Bush, Madison, Barbara McDonald, Greenbrier, Jane Stanford, Tompkinsville, KY, brothers & sisters-in-law, Ray Kenneth & Mary Binnion, Madison, Paul & Jayne Binnion, White House, sisters-in-laws, Mattie Belle Binnion, Madison, Nancy Binnion, Sterling Heights, MI, grandson, Brent Binnion and his wife, Brandy of Lebanon, granddaughter, Beth Duncan and husband, Lucky of Lebanon.

Ester Vera Lee Brooks Bohanon, better known as Vera Lee was born in Macon County, Tennessee on October 28, 1918 to the late Smith and Essie Butrum Brooks. She was one of four siblings born to this union. As a young woman, Vera Lee was married to the love of her life, Vernie Bohanon on December 22, 1934. They shared sixty-five wonderful years together and raised two daughters and one son. On June 20, 2000, Vernie preceded her in death. Besides her husband and parents, one son, Ferrell Thomas Bohanon, step-dad, Porter Law, and brothers, Glen Law and Floyd Brooks, also preceded her in death. Vera Lee worked as a seamstress for over thirty years for Form-fit Rogers. Later on, she went to work for Mildred’s Decorating for fifteen years. She was a member of White Oak Church of Christ. Vera Lee loved feeding her family on Sunday’s. Just having her family around; made Vera Lee’s life complete. Vera Lee enjoyed sewing and working in her flower garden. She had a green thumb when it came to her ferns. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always wore a smile. On April 26, 2013 at the age of 94, the Lord called Vera Lee home. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her. Funeral Services Vera Lee Brooks Bohanon were conducted on Tuesday, April 30, at 2 p.m. from the White Oak Church of Christ with Mike Rogers officiating. Zach Shockley, Justin Roark, Garon Cline, Coltin Jenkins, and Kamren Scruggs served as Honorary Pallbearers. Eddie Rich, Ronnie Shockley, Greg Cline, Corey Jenkins, Shawn Scruggs, Nick Robinson, and Josh Coulter served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Underwood Cemetery. Vera Lee is survived by, Daughters and Sons-in-law, Lavonna (Frankie) Shockley and Diane (Mark) Roark, Daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Bohanon, Grandchildren, Ronnie (Jackie) Shockley, Regina (Eddie) Rich, Kim (Shawn)Scruggs, April (Greg) Cline, Chrissy (Corey) Jenkins, Ashley (Josh) Coulter, Kita (Nick) Robinson, Brother, Calvin Law, and eleven Great-Grandchildren, also survive.

Wayne Dale Fuqua, age 74, of the Drury Ridge Community in Macon County passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Summit Medical Center. Graveside services for Wayne Dale Fuqua were conducted at the Drury Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5th with Elder J. B. Shoulders officiating. Visitation with the Family was held at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. and continued through Sunday at 3:00 p.m. before leaving for the cemetery. James Ford, Gordon Gammons, Roger Long, Dee Brooks, Tony East and Kyle Mason served as Pallbearers. Wayne Dale Fuqua was born on December 4, 1938 in Macon County Tennessee, one of five siblings born to the late Faust and Lorah (Drury) Fuqua , he was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Carlene Fuqua. He married the former Betty Parker on December 15, 1956, who survives. He worked for Tri County Electric from 1963 to 1996 and was a Missionary Baptist in belief. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by, Son and Daughter-in-law, Ricky and Claudette Fuqua, daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Alex Shrum, all of Lafayette, grandson and spouse, Jeff and Misty Fuqua , great-grandchildren, Beau, Bleu & Luke Fuqua, all of Cookeville, brothers and sister-in-law, Leon Fuqua of Lafayette and Larry Faust and Doris Fuqua of Spring Hill, Florida, sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and W. L. Goad of Madison, Joanne and Bud Deering of Lafayette, mother-in-law, Ms. Minnie Parker Dyer of Lafayette, sister-in-law and spouse, Shirley Glover Blalock and Wayne of Chapel Hill, special family friends, Reagan Shrum, Rachel Shrum, Ray, Paulette and Kyle Mason, all of Lafayette. Barbara “Bobbie” Boyd Gill, of Portland, and formerly of Macon County, was born in Baker County, Oregon, on September 9, 1941 to the late Grover See and Violet White See, who survives. She departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the age of 71 years. Funeral services for Barbara Gill were conducted on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, with Brother Ricky Morris officiating. Interment with military honors followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Brandon Goad, Jason Wilson, Dewayne Gill Jr., Bob Sircy, Chris Heraus and Murphy Gill. On May 5, 1963, she married Robert Boyd, who preceded her in death on October 29, 2005. This union was blessed with five children – Frank, Randy, Mike, Ronda and Carrie. She was later married Earl DeWayne Gill on August 8, 2009 and welcomed four stepchildren to her family – Murphy, Earl DeWayne Jr., Deborah and Rebecca. She was a former United States Marine – a title that she was proud to carry. She worked for many years at American Greetings in Lafayette, as well as, Genesco and the GAP in Gallatin. She had formerly attended the Northside Assembly of God in Biloxi, Mississippi and was currently attending The Living Free Fellowship in Portland. Bobbie wanted everyone to know that she praised God for her blessed life. In addition to her first husband, Robert, and her father, she was preceded in death by her son Frank, and her brother, Jim See. Along with her husband DeWayne of Portland, and mother Violet of Glasgow, KY, she is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Randy Boyd and Karen Heath of Smyrna, Mike Boyd of Portland; daughters and son-in-law, Ronda Boyd of Gallatin, Carrie and Champ Daniels of Smiths Grove, KY; step-children and spouses, Murphy and Michelle Gill of Owosso, MI, Earl DeWayne and Jewel Gill, of Hermitage, Deborah and Drew Shelton of Nashville, Rebecca and Jerry Gill of Nashville, Grandchildren, Brandon and wife, Beth Goad, Andy and wife, Samantha Goad, Ashley Boyd and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Izabella Goad, Lauryn Goad, and Baby “G” due in July.

Laban B Hilton, age 72, entered heaven on April 29, 2013 at 3:30 pm after a long illness. Laban B Hilton was born in Lancaster County SC on August 13, 1940 to Laban B Hilton and Thelma Catoe Hilton. He is preceeded in death by his father, Laban B Hilton and brother-in-law John Randall Bunch. He is survived by wife, Reba P Hilton, daughter, Lindy Hilton Wyant, daughter, Rebekah Ashleigh Hilton, granddaughter, Josie Davis Wyant, mother, Thelma Catoe Hilton, sister, Delores Hilton Bunch, nieces and nephews, great nieces and newphews. He attended Columbia Business college located in Columbia South Carolina and obtained a degree in traffic, transportation and distribution. Laban and his family owned and operated the Armour's Red Boiling Springs Hotel in Red Boiling Springs, TN from 1999 to 2008.  During these years he enjoyed meeting and cooking for the many guests of the hotel. For anyone who knew Laban knew that he loved the outdoors, anything regarding nature, he loved floating down the Edisto River and Edisto Beach Where where his family vacationed yearly. He loved to fish and play golf. Laban will be remembered by his friends and family as kind, considerate, devoted to his family. He loved Edisto Island, Fishing, Golfing, Camping. Pall bearers for the service were John Randall Bunch, James Michael Pike, Samuel Thomas Pike, Paul Edward Miracle, T. C. Woodard. Visitation for Laban B Hilton was held at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. on Thursday, May 2 and visitation and memorial service was held on Friday, May 3 at New Life Baptist Church, 6851 Highway 52 East, Lafayette, TN. Interment was at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN. The service was officiated by Rev Chris Davis of Gallatin, TN and Rev Tim Bryson of South Carolina.
