Ms. April Renee Hurt age 45 of Celina, TN passed away at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN on Friday, November 29, 2013. Ms. April was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 5, 1968. She was the daughter of Irene Hurt of Celina, TN and the late John Edward Hurt. April attended Indiana School for the blind and graduated from Northwest High School in 1987 where she participated in the "Special Needs Program". Although April was born with Cerebral Palsy, Legally blind, and unable to speak, she touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. April communicated by sign language and facial expressions. April attended Christ Missionary Baptist Church with her father in Indiana and Church of Christ with her mother in TN. April was in several different Home Care programs where she learned to bowl, and won a tournament. Recently April was crowned Miss Fabulous. April's memory will be forever honored by her family that is left behind: her Mother Irene Hurt whom loved her Daughter very much. Her sisters: Martha, Alexious, Shanrika, Jackie, Yolanda, Yvonne. Brothers: Tyronne, Micheal, Gerrald. Aunt Eva Terrell, Uncle Billy Ray Hamilton and wife Mary Jo all of Louisville, KY A host of aunts, cousins, close family members and many, many friends. Services for Ms. April Renee Hurt will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 12 Noon from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina, TN with burial to follow in the Free Hill Cemetery in Celina, Clay County, TN. Family will receive friends at the funeral on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 starting at 10 AM until service time at 12 Noon.

Owena Virginia Holland was born on July 5, 1934 to the late Wesley Driver and Vola Mai Payne Driver. Owena was one of three children born to this union. She was married in her youth and was blessed with two children of her own, Carol and Steve. Later in life, on December of 1974, Owena was married to Jack Holland and they spent many wonderful years together until his death on February 2, 1993. Owena began working as a seamstress in 1951 for Formfit Rogers, from where she retired after 47 years. She was a very kind and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many people. Owena’s favorite thing was to be outdoors, and she especially enjoyed taking walks through the woods.  On Sunday mornings, she loved going to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Owena always made it a point to visit her family and friends that were in the nursing home. On Friday, November 22, 2013 at the age of seventy-nine, the Lord called Owena home. She will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew and loved her.  Owena is survived by Daughter, Carol (Charlie) Kirby; Son, Steve (Teresa) Swindle; Grandchildren, Corey (Janna) Kirby, Christy (Joshua) Swindle & Tyler Swindle; Great Grandchildren, Valerie & Vanessa Kirby; Sister, Betty Mai (Charles Young) Roddy; Brother, Phillip (Pat) Driver; Lifetime Friend, Nancy Blankenship and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Owena Holland were conducted Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11 am from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Walter Andrews officiating. Joshua Swindle served as Honorary Pallbearer. Corey Kirby, Tyler Swindle, Wesley Summers, Isaac Summers, Chuck Roddy and Prentice Driver served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Scott Cemetery.

Carnahan, Edrel Aliene, age 87, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died Friday, November 29, 2013.  She was the daughter of the late, Vesper C. and Bessie Mae Knight Russell. Mrs. Carnahan was also preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Carnahan and her brother, Roger Russell. She is survived by: Sons – Barry Carnahan, Jeffrey (Deborah) Carnahan and Michael Carnahan; Daughter – Debbie (Bob) Link; Sister – Ellen Slate; Grandchildren – Richard Blake Carnahan, Sierra Cheyenne Carnahan and Thomas Link. Louvenia Rush Gentry, age 92 of the Hermitage Springs Community in Clay County, TN passed Saturday evening, November 16, 2013 at her residence.  Funeral Services for Louvenia Rush Gentry were conducted Monday afternoon, November 18, 2013, at 2 pm from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Roy Henson and Rick Mosley officiating. Interment followed in the Browning Cemetery. Her family served as pallbearers. Mrs. Louvenia was born Thursday, December 23, 1920 in Clay County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Cyrus Hayden and Mary Lou Loftis Rush. On December 22, 1945, she married George Donald Gentry, who preceded her in death on September 12, 1982. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ercil Gentry, brother, Cyrus Hayden Rush, Jr., sister, Brilla Cherry and several half brothers & sisters. Louvenia was a graduate of Hermitage Springs High School and she worked in Louisville, KY during the World War II, while waiting for George Donald Gentry to come home from the service. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ. She was a devoted mother, loving wife and friend to all of her seven children. Survivors include: daughters & sons-in-law, Geraldine & Jeff Jones, Mt. William K. Silber, 84, died on Sunday, October 13th, at 8:30am at his home in the New Harmony Community. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jessie Giles Silber, and his two daughters Monica Silber and Husband Michael August and Barbara Shannon and husband Chris Shannon. Mr. Silber had two granddaughters, Jessica Shannon Spangler and husband Dennis (Spanky) Spangler, and Kristina Shannon Quillen and husband Brandon Quillen, and three great grandchildren, Austin and Addysyn Spangler and Kora Quillen. The private memorial service will be held at the Silber home on Sunday, October 27th at 4:00p.m., with family and close friends in attendance. In lieu of flowers Bill requested donations to High  Point Hospice and the American Chesnut Foundation.
