Noel Butler, age 78, of the Leonard Community in Clay County, TN passed away Thursday afternoon, February 14, 2013 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. Funeral Services for Noel Butler were conducted Saturday afternoon, February 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Elder Ricky Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers were J.N. Rainey, Terry Butler, Zakkary Stevens, Ethan Shrum, Dwayne Shrum, Larry Butler, Bill Whitlock and Chad Butler. Noel was born Tuesday, June 19, 1934 in Macon County, Tennessee, one of four siblings born to the late Oscar and Hazel Vinson Butler. On December 5, 1959, he married the former Roxie Holland, who survives. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Ned Butler. Noel was retired from Tri-County Electric in Lafayette with 23 years of service and a member of the Mt. Vernon Church of Christ. He proudly served his country in the army during the Korean War receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal (Germany) and the Good Conduct Medal. Survivors besides his wife, Roxie of 53 years include: daughters & sons-in-law, Lesa & J.N. Rainey, Russell Hill Community, Carol & Dwayne Shrum, Lori Butler Henson, son, Chad Butler, all of Red Boiling Springs, sister, Sarah June Yano, Franklin, brother, Neil Butler, Carthage, and grandchildren, Ethan & Sarah Shrum, Zakkary Stevens, Lauren & Sydney Henson and Emmaline Rainey.

Sergeant Dickey Cherry of Lebanon, formerly of Macon County, was born on July 14, 1949, one of four children, to the late Mitchell Cherry and Juanita Carlisle Cherry, who survives and resides in Red Boiling Springs. He departed this life on February 16, 2013 at the age of 63 years. Funeral services for Dickey Cherry were conducted on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Denny King officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Pallbearers were the THP Honor Guard. He was married to the former Cathy Lambert on November 21, 1975, who survives and resides in Lebanon. Sergeant Cherry was a 1st degree Mason in Clay County and was retired from the Tennessee Highway Patrol where he began working in 1974.  He was a Missionary Baptist in belief. In addition to his wife of 37 years and his mother, he is survived by a son, John Miller of Lebanon; brothers, Rickey and wife, Charlotte Cherry of Lafayette, Mickey and his wife, Tamara Cherry; sister, Michelle and husband, Kevin Sexton, all of the Pumpkintown Community of Macon County; grandchildren, Christopher and Cody miller; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Gary Lynn Lamb was born in Macon County, Tennessee on April 15, 1946 to the late Willie Lamb and Alice Helen Bandy.  He was one of two siblings born to this union. On December 17, 1970 Gary was married to the love of his life Janice Elkins.  They raised six children and shared many wonderful years. Besides his parents; Son Lannie Lamb, Daughter Pennie Lamb, Grandson Terry Roark, and Great Granddaughter Hailey Amons also preceded Gary in death. Gary owned and operated Gary’s Trucking and Paving. He enjoyed this work, and loved bringing his grandkids in to work alongside him. He was a man that loved to work with his hands. He enjoyed working on old cars, working with his horses and buggies, going to truck pulls and drag races, but above all he loved spending time with his family. He was a big cut up and enjoyed aggravating the ones he loved. Gary was a member of the New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. On Thursday, February 7, 2013, the Lord called Gary home, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services for Gary Lamb were conducted on Sunday, February 10, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Wix and Brother James Warner officiating.  Interment followed in the Eulia Cemetery. Stanley Young, Johnny Lamb, Dwight Rollin, Denver Parsley, Dwight Bray, Josh Watson, Steven Huntsman, and Randy Lamb served as pallbearers.  Gary’s grandchildren and great grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers. Gary is survived by; wife, Janice Marie Lamb of Lafayette, TN, sons, Danny (Tammy) Lamb of Lafayette, TN, and Tommy (Tina) Lamb of Nashville, TN, daughters, Sharon (Terry) Rice of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Teresa (Mike) Hooten of Lafayette, TN, brother, James (Georgia) Lamb of Hartsville, TN and several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Alexander Funeral Home, Directors, in charge of arrangements.

Sam Houston Snow, Jr., of Lafayette, was born on Sunday, February 22, 1925, one of four children, to the late Sam Houston (Sr.) and Mattie Lou McGee Snow. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Funeral services for Sam Snow were conducted on Thursday, February 8, 2013 from the White Oak Church of Christ with Mike Rogers officiating. Interment followed in the Underwood Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Ronnie Waller, Scott Gann, Jeff Thomas, Joey Lawrence, Garron Sow, Kyle Snow, Rocky Hudson, Phillip Driver and Josh Hauskin. On January 1, 1958, he was married to the former Miss Jewel Lee Clark, who preceded him in death on September 1, 2012. This union was blessed with three children, Janie, Anthony and Phillip. Sam was retired from Carter Automotive and was a member of the White Oak Church of Christ. One of his favorite pastimes was reading, especially reading his Bible every day. He could be found in his flower gardens and quilting in his spare time and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Oleta Snow Osborne, two brothers, Willie Snow and Charlie Snow, and a granddaughter, Veronica Snow. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Jeff Hauskin; sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Stacy Snow, all of Lafayette, and Phillip and Fay Snow of Red Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Jordan Hauskin, Joshua Hauskin, Garron Snow, Kyle Snow, Adrianna Snow, Samantha Snow, Courtney Paris and Cody Strong; and he was expecting his first great grandchild, Samuel Parker Crabtree. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Judy Donoho Gann Beard, of Lafayette, was born on Saturday, February 7, 1942, one of five children, to the late Glynn and Ruby Law Donoho. She departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the age of 70 years. Funeral services for Judy Beard were conducted on Monday, January 28, 2013 from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Charlie Patterson and Elder Ricky Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the Drury Cemetery. Her pallbearers were Vic Donoho, Kenny Butler, Lynn Gann, Michael Jones, William “Bill” Beard, Lyle Donoho, David Donoho and Ira Gann. In 1958, she was married to Wayne Gann, who preceded her in death. This union was blessed with two sons, Tony and Stacy. She later married T.C. Beard, who survives. Judy had worked for Carter Automotive and was a member of the Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Synthia Gann of Goodlettsville, Stacy and Heather Gann of Lafayette; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen H. and Polly Donoho, Ronnie and Barbara Jo Donoho, all of Lafayette; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann Donoho of Lebanon, Cathy and Freddie Haney of Lafayette; grandchildren, Dayna Gann of Williamson, NC, Tyler Gann, Tanner Gann and Trey Gann, all of Lafayette; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Jones, Emma Jones and Mathew Robinson; several nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
