Danny Lee Mandrell was born December 25th, 1955 in Scottsville, KY to the late Roy T. Mandrell and Lillie Bell Meador Mandrell. Besides his parents, one brother, Phillip Roy Mandrell also preceded him in death. Danny was saved at the early age of 14 at Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church in Lafayette, TN. He attended Willow Creek Baptist Church, pastored by Brother Clinton Davenport, up until the time of his death. Danny worked at Carter Automotive for over twenty years. When Carter’s closed, he then went to Toshiba in Lebanon, TN where he worked for thirteen years until their closing. His hobbies were fishing, & going to benefit /cakewalks and watching the Titans play football. He loved everyone and he loved his church, church family and special friends. Danny had been battling cancer and other medical problems for five years. He left this world on October 22, 2012 at the age of 56. Danny will be sadly missed by his wife, family and all who knew and loved him. Funeral services for Danny were conducted Thursday at 2 pm, from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Todd O’Hair and Brother Clinton Davenport officiating. Randy East, Lonnie Douglas, Donnie Miller, Herman Harp, Marcus Dennis, Tony Fuqua, Austin Alderson, and Ray Mince served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. He is survived by; Wife, Margie Mandrell, Sons, Brandon Mandrell, Quinton (Heather) Mandrell, Step children, Lisa (Gary) Alderson, Faye Bragg, Daryl Hagan, Sisters, Carolyn Mandrell, Lisa (Ricky) Dennis, Brother, Michael (Jennifer) Mandrell, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, that also survive

Wilma Jean Massie Henson was born in Marshall County, on February 5, 1951to the late Clarence William Massie and Bertie Christine Bass Massie. She was one of ten siblings born to this union. As a young lady she was married to Ward Henson on June 23, 1966. They shared 46 years together and raised two children. Besides her parents; sister, Frances Baldwin, and brothers, George Massie and William Massie also preceded her in death. Wilma life revolved around her family. She loved cooking for them and playing with the grandchildren. Wilma enjoyed being outdoors and did a lot of camping during the summer. She liked to spend vacation time at the Smoky Mountains. Wilma loved attending the Full Gospel House of Prayer. On Saturday, October 20, 2012 Wilma left this world for a better place. Wilma’s family and many friends will greatly miss her.    
Funeral services for Wilma Henson were conducted Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 1 PM from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Carson and Brother Tony Whittemore officiating. Malaki Loggins, Austin Loggins, Carson Davis, Cameron Davis, Cabb Davis, Xavier Henson, and Anthony Henson served as Honorary Pallbearers. Travis Baldwin, Jimmy Baldwin, Micheal Likens, Donnie Likens, Vince Blackledge, Terry Day, Danny Hauskins, and Billy Bandy served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Lafayette City Cemetery. Wilma is survived by, Husband, Ward Henson, Daughter, Tonya (Kenneth) Davis all of Lafayette, Son, Jr. Henson and wife Kristy Haven of Nashville, TN, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, Sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Day, Judy (David) Sawyer, Shirley Matheny, and Lucille Day, Brothers, Justin (Debbie) Massie, Charles (Dorothy) Massie, Niece and considered a daughter, Christina Sawyer, Very Special Friends, Judy Whittemore and Betty Bentley, also survive.

Matthew Brett Minchey, better known as Brett, was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, on November 5, 1971 to Roger Dale Minchey and Brenda Brown Minchey. On October 19, 2002, Brett married the former Nichole Janz, they shared 15 years together. They have one daughter, Finley Grace Minchey, which was his pride and joy. He also has a step-son, Dusty, that he raised and loved as his own. Brett is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Pearlie Brown, and Johnnie and Ovie Minchey. Brett has worked for Murray Tool and Die in Gallatin for the last twenty years. His pass time was spent fishing. Whether he was on the bank or in the boat, whether it was a two-inch or a 12-inch fish it didn’t matter; Brett was happy. He always had a smile on his face. Brett was a big cut-up that everyone enjoyed being around. Brett was a member of Lafayette Church of Christ. On October 9, 2012, Brett was suddenly taken away, to be in Heaven. Brett will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, but our loss is Heavens gain. Brett is survived by; Wife, Nichole Minchey, Daughter, Finley Grace Minchey both of Lafayette, Tennessee, Step-son, Dusty (Jessica) Janz, Step-grandson, Brody Ray Janz all of Lebanon, Tennessee, Parents, Roger and Brenda Minchey of Lafayette, Tennessee, and a host of Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins, also survives. Funeral services for Brett Minchey were conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Lafayette Church of Christ with Jerry Mercer officiating. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Murray Tool & Die Employees, Thomas Driver, Troy Driver, Timmy Hewitt, Donnie Steen, Charles Jones, Brody Ray Janz, Billy Meador, Don Traylor, Larry J. Tucker, Jerry Driver, Bryan Shaw, Chris Shaw, and Clint Carter.  Serving as Active Pallbearers were Ronnie Brown, Corby Brown, Larry Brown, Dusty Janz, Dale Brown, Larry R. Brown, Jason Allen, and Fred Hix. Interment followed in the Anderson Memorial Park. Alexander Funeral Home, Directors, in charge of arrangements.

Elvin Cherry, age 82, of the Union Hill Community in Clay County, TN passed away Monday evening, October 8, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services for Elvin Cherry were conducted Thursday afternoon, October 11, 2012 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Union Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Craighead, A.J. Craighead, Johnny Young, Robert Strong, Terry Cross and Steve Rich. Elvin was married to Estellene Cross Cherry, who preceded him in death on November 23, 2004. He was a farmer and worked at Carter Automotive. In addition to Estellene, his wife of 54 years, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Pearl Bean Cherry; a son, Larry Cherry; sister, Genoa York; brother, Junior Cherry; granddaughter, Tiona Young; and grandson, Jamey Holland.  He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Robert Strong of Smyrna; Donna Craighead of the Union Hill Community; Judy and Steve Rich of the Hermitage Springs Community; sons and daughter-in-law, Doug and Rita Cherry of Soddy Daisy; and Tim Cherry of the Union Hill Community; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Joan Cherry of the Hermitage Springs Community; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Phil Newsome, age 50 of the Leonard Community in Clay County, TN passed away Friday evening, September 21, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services for Phil Newsome were conducted Monday afternoon, September 24, 2012 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Elder Jackie Wakefield and Pastor John Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Leonard Cemetery with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. Phil was born Wednesday, December 27, 1961 in Springfield, Ohio, one of seven siblings of Dorothy Williamson Newsome of Cincinnati, Ohio and Archie Newsome of the Leonard Community in Clay County, TN. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Newsome. On October 9, 1999, he married the former Cindy King, who survives. Phil was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the Harvest Fellowship Church of God.
