Seniors from the Class of 2013 faced Gordonsville in their last home at the Dogpound. This is the last time some fans will get to see these youngsters play.

This game will not go down in history as one of the best games ever played by the Lady Bulldogs but both teams played good and then made enough mistakes to fill a bushel basket. One great tradition for the Lady Bulldogs in the past 25 years was that if the Lady Bulldogs got you down and the game depended on free throws, Red Boiling Springs would win. The Lady Bulldogs missed 14 free throws in the first half and yes this is where the Lady Bulldogs lost this game. Please don't take this as to criticize these young ladies for missing so many because they were trying as hard as they could. They just got into a funk and never got out of it.

The Lady Bulldogs led this game after the first period by a score of 13-3 and the lead at halftime was 24-13. Almost all Lady Bulldog fans were not talking about the lead but what it could have been had they made more of those free throws. The Tigerettes are in first place in District 8A and the Lady Bulldogs had a chance to move up to a 3rd place finish for the regular season and a much better seeding in the district tournament. With the score tied at 43 all and overtime on the way, the RBS mistakes and Gordonsville's defense paved the way for the Tigerettes to hold on and win this game by a final score of 50-46.

Some great news to tell you about was the Signing of Lady Bulldog Katie Hix to a scholarship to attend Liberty College in Memphis. Liberty is getting a good young lady that will be a perfect fit for what they are looking for. Since it was Senior Night the Lady Bulldogs will lose a great young lady in Kalisha Lynch. She gives you everything that she has got for 32 minutes and finding a replacement will be a monumental task for Coach Larry White.

The Gordonsville Tigers wasted no time getting all over the Bulldogs early en route to a 67-34 win over Red Boiling Springs. Gordonsville's defense was very good for the entire first half and the Tigers would find themselves ahead 20-3 after the first quarter and led at halftime 37-17. Everything that the Tigers tried to do in the first half was working just the way the coach wanted it to do and the Bulldogs played hard they had no answers for the speed and quickness of Gordonsville.

The Third quarter was really big for Gordonsville as they opened up their lead to 20 points but the Bulldogs managed to keep the Tigers in sight. The Bulldogs knocked down three big 3 pointers. Zane Roberts hit two of them and Alex Mullinex made the other. Zane also had two big 3 pointers in the second quarter plus 2 free throws to give the young Bulldog 14 points for the game. Tim Jones and Ty Tuck had one 3 pointer each in the first quarter. The Bulldogs now trail 48-28 going into the last quarter. The Tigers would finish this game on a 14-2 run and the final score of 67-34 would belong to Gordonsville.

The Bulldogs must now regroup and get ready to play Tuesday night the 12th at Trousdale County as they take on Friendship Christian. The Lady Bulldogs open the district tournament on Tuesday as well against Watertown minus their big center that is out for the season with an injury.
