The RBS Lady Bulldogs Softball team knew they would have their hands full when they went up against the Gordonsville Tigerettes last Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigerettes have one of the best softball teams in the mid-state area no matter the class. The Tigerettes also play one of the toughest schedules and are battle tested. The Lady Bulldogs were going to give it their best shot and hope for some good results.

The Lady Bulldogs got hits from Kalisha Lynch and Connor Murphy plus Freshman Hannah Smith also had a hit as the Lady Bulldogs only had 3 hits for the entire game. The Lady Bulldogs also managed to leave 5 runners on base but never got a runner as far as third base. The Lady Bulldogs also struck out 8 times and committed 8 errors. When you do that against Gordonsville, you will get beat. The effort was there and in some areas the Lady Bulldogs are making progress.

The Lady Bulldogs are in the toughest district in the middle Tennessee area and on Thursday the 21st the powerful Trousdale County Lady Jackets will visit the Dog Pound to take on the Lady Bulldogs and if you like good softball this game might be one that you would come and watch.
