  The Hermitage Springs Lady Wildcats paid a visit to the Dog Pound and took home a rare win over the Lady Bulldogs 34-23. If you know the history of these 2 programs then you know that the kids from Hermitage Springs have not enjoyed much success playing in Red Boiling Springs. The Lady Wildcats on this team are not old enough to know that so they played like they were suppossed to win and win they did.

  The Red Boiling Springs JR. High boys were coming off a loss to Celina and were in no mood to let the Smith County Owls stick around very long as they used their full court pressure defense to force the Owls into numerous turnovers as they raced out to a 19-10 first quarter lead and never looked back.The final score of 50-28 could have been a lot worse because the Bulldogs were shooting lights out. At one point in the first quarter the Bulldogs scored 9 points in 52 seconds.

MCHS Girls XC takes Third in the State PDF Print E-mail

  The MCHS Girls finished in 3rd place in the 2011 TSSAA, A-AA State Cross Country meet. The State Meet was held Saturday, November 5 at the Steeplechase Course at Nashville’s Percy Warner Park. Thursday October 27, Macon County’s Girls won the Region 5 A-AA title on the same course.

  For the 1st time since 1969 and 1970 and for only the 2nd time in school history, the MCHS Tigers advance to the playoffs in back to back seasons.  The MCHS Tigers won the last 2 games of the regular season to advance to the 1st round of the TSSAA play-offs.  The Tigers drew the #6 seed and had to travel to Jackson to face the #3 seed Liberty Tech Magnet High School.
