Football fans came to the Red & Grey grid iron of Red Boiling Springs this past Friday night to see if this year's team could continue adding victories to the history books. Since the seven-year curse of 61 consecutive losses was shattered three seasons ago, the Bulldogs were eager to face their first opponent on their schedule... the Bobcats of Pickett County.

  The MCHS Tigers looked very impressive in their season opener at home Friday night against 1A powerhouse Jo Byrns.  In front of a capacity home crowd the Tigers flexed some 4A muscle as they blasted Jo Byrns 35-7.

  The Macon County Sports Hall of Fame had their 11th annual banquet at the Red Barn Winery on Saturday night June 4th, 2011. This year there were five new inductees and one sports team recognized.

The Macon County High School Girls Track team had a strong showing at the TSSAA A-AA State Track and Field Meet this week. Freshman Katie Swindle and Junior Katelyn Bean both represented their school well.

MCHS Qualifies Two for State A-AA Track Meet PDF Print E-mail

On Thursday May 19th, 2011 two young ladies from MCHS qualified for the A-AA State Track Meet to be held in Murfreesboro.  The strong showing, due in part two these two, helped propel the ladies from Macon County to a 4th place finish as a team in the middle Tennessee section meet at David Lipscomb High School.
