Flying a kite takes a certain expertise and there were certainly a lot of talented flyers as the tethered aircraft dotted the sky at the 3rd Annual Lafayette United Methodist Church Kite Flying Event on Saturday, April 28.

A lot can be said about the simple things in life and the afternoon was all about enjoying fun and fellowship as children and adults bonded in their efforts to reach heights never before obtained by a kite. With over 60 people attending the event, it was a huge success thanks to Pastor Nolen Brunson and the Educational Committee at the Methodist Church.
