Trousdale Cares Hosts Wounded Warrior Hunt

Trousdale Cares held their Annual Turkey Hunt for Wounded Warriors over the weekend, and on Saturday morning I was honored to spend a little time with the soldiers who so bravely served our country and earned the respect and admiration of everyone.

Lauryn Harmon, 10, killed her first turkey April 15, 2012. It weighed 20 lbs. Had a 4 ½ inch beard and 7/16 in spurs. The turkey was killed in Macon County. Parents are Jerry & Amanda Harmon.

Steve Walker and Jed Coley killed a “double” this past Sunday morning on opening weekend of turkey season. Both birds had 9 ¾” beards.

Annual Rotary Pancake Breakfast

The Lafayette Rotary Club held its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser on Friday and Saturday mornings, March 30-31, at Citizens Bank Main Branch location. Macon County High School Interact students assisted in serving the meal.
