On Tuesday, April 15th 37 students from Macon Coounty High School traveled to Tennessee Technological University in Cookevile, TN to compete in the 58th Annual State-Wide High School Math Contest.

Library Board Honors Frances Darnell

The Macon County Public Library Board of Trustees previously commissioned local artist Linda Johnson to do a sculpture in honor of Mrs. Frances Darnell, which is now displayed in the new foyer at the library.

Marisa's Journey to New Lungs

The "Marisa's Journey to New Lungs" Fundraiser was a huge success.

The fundraiser that was held on Saturday, March 22, for 12-year-old Marisa Wade, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, was a huge success and the family would like to thank everyone who turned out to support “Marisa’s Journey to New Lungs.” Marisa will be making a trip on March 30th to see if she is eligible for a transplant and to be put on the donor’s list. This event helped to make a difference in this young girl’s life. You can follow Marisa’s progress on Facebook.

 
Youth Group Returns From Tornado Ravaged Oklahoma
