Clessie Ray Williams, 82

Funeral services for Clessie Ray Williams, age 82, of Lafayette, Tenn. were conducted Saturday morning, May 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brother Jerry Gammon officiating.

Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.  His pallbearers were Mike Kirby, Troy Kirby, Barry Hiett, Ira Gann, Michael Ballou and Larry Hiett.  

Clessie passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 7, 2008 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.

He was born December 15, 1925 in Macon County, Tenn., the son of the late Jolly and Nora Meador Williams. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Madalene Cothron, Dortch Gann, Freddie and Carrie Williams and brother, Willie Williams. He was a former employee with the TRW in Lebanon, Tenn. and a veteran.

Survivors include: sisters, Pearl Smith and Mabel Hiett both of Lafayette, Tenn., and a host of nieces and nephews.
