Delton K. Hix, better known as Bud, age 69, of Fayetteville, N.C., a native of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services for Bud Hix were conducted on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Jernigan-Warren in Fayetteville, N.C. Interment followed in the Lafayette Memorial Park in North Carolina with military honors.
Delton Keith Hix was born in Macon County, Tenn., to the late Buel and Alma Ruth Hagan Hix. He is married to Mary Kuzakin Hix, who survives.
Besides his parents, son, Kayne Hix, and sister, Sue Hix Whitley preceded him in death.
Bud was a retired Master Sergeant in the US Army and had served in the Vietnam War. Besides his wife, he is survived by; sons, Kenneth and Michael Hix, daughter, Sandra Hix, stepson, Sam Kuzakin, stepdaughter, Michelle Kuzakin all of Fayetteville, N.C., brothers, Nelson Hix, Frankford, Ky., Roger Hix of Glasgow, Ky., Ronnie Hix of Sevierville, Tenn., Ray Hix of Dothan, Ala., Delbert Hix and Dennis Hix both of Lafayette, Tenn., Phillip Hix of Indianoplis, Ind., Freddie Hix of Ridgetop, Tenn., Mark Hix of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., sister, Cathy Hix of Baxter, Tenn., five grandchildren and one step-granddaughter.
