Elder Herlin Enloe Jones, age 86

Elder Herlin Enloe Jones, age 86, passed away Wed., Nov. 26, 2008, at the Monroe County Care and Rehab in Kentucky. The Funeral service for Elder Herlin Enloe Jones was conducted Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jody McIntyre officiating.

Larry Jones, James Jones, Richard Jones, Danny Jones, Larry Brown, and John Menefee served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Elder Herlin Enloe Jones was born on, July 17, 1922, in Macon County, Tenn. He was the son of the late William Ellis and Edna Lee Johnson Jones. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Van Jones. On Oct. 26, 1942, he married Frances Gore Jones, sharing sixty-six years together; they raised three sons and three daughters together, Ms. Frances survives. Elder Enloe was the owner of Jones Grocery Store in Moss, Tenn. for many years; then, Jones Motor Company and Trading Post in Tompkinsville, Ky., before retiring. He was a Missionary Baptist preacher, who pastored several churches in the Kentucky and the Tennessee area. He was a member of Long Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to mourn his passing; wife, Frances Elizabeth Gore Jones of Tompkinsville, Ky., sons, Larry (Maria) Jones of Marietta, Ga., James Jones of Gainesville, GA, Richard Jones of Tompkinsville, Ky., daughters,
Gloria (Larry) Brown of Reno, Nv., Libby (John) Menefee of Franklin,Tenn., Jennifer Jones of Nashville, Tenn., sisters, Betty Jo Hardee of Lebanon, Tenn., Mary Keene of Lafayette, Tenn., three grandchildren, and 3 Great-grandchildren.
