Inez Burrow Massey, age 91, passed away MoN. morning, Nov. 24, 2008 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette. Funeral services for Inez Burrow Massey were conducted Wed. afternoon, Nov. 26, 2008 at the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Dean Taylor and Brother Richard Patton officiating
. Interment followed in the Dixon Springs Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were her caregivers: Wanda Owens, Karen Brown and Dawn Cochran. Mickey Massey, Randy Freeman, Mack Ratledge, Jeff Blackwell, Randy Reeves, Tim Reeves, Cindy Freeman and Minda Ratledge served as Active Pallbearers. Inez was born Aug. 23, 1917 in Macon County, Tenn., one of five siblings born to the late James Washington and Daisy Woodmore Burrow. On Aug. 23, 1943, she married William “Park” Massey, who preceded her in on Feb. 22, 2008. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Alene Gregory, brothers, Raymond and Ford Burrow and great-grandson, Randy Dewayne Freeman, Jr. She received her teaching degree from MTSU and taught school in Macon County for 36 years. She was a member of the Hillsdale Baptist Church and Macon County Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by, Sons & Daughters-in-law, Elder James “Pee Wee” and Judy Massey of Pleasant Shade,Tenn., Donald “Skip” and Carolyn Massey of Lafayette, Sister, Mrs. Lorell Stafford of Akron, Ohio,Grandchildren, Mickey and wife, Linda Massey, Livingston, Tenn., Minda and husband, Mack Ratledge of Dixon Springs, Tenn., Cindy and husband, Randy Freeman of Lafayette, Tenn., Great-granddaughters, Jessi and Kayci Freemen of Lafayette, Great-grandson, Xander Ratledge of Dixon Springs, Tenn., Sister-in-law,Juanita Burrow of Lafayette.
