Eugene Bohanan, 66

  Eugene Bohanan, age 66, of Lafayette, Tenn. passed away Tues., Feb. 3, 2009, at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. Funeral services for Eugene Bohanan were conducted Fri., Feb. 6, 2009 from the Chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tenn. with Elder Joey Hackett officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Honorary Pallbearers were Larry Clark, David Barber, Bruce Bartley, Gordon Tucker, Joe Dale Creek, Glyn Coley. Active Pallbearers were C.J. Armour, Harry Smith, Nelson White, Roger Minchey, Roger Long, Donald Padgett, Louie Wood, Keith Gentry and Travis Thomas. Eugene was born Apr. 21, 1942 in Flippin, KY, the son of the late Irvin and Myrtle Hagan Bohanan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Wayne and Terry Bohanan. On Oct. 6, 1962, he married the former Linda Hix, who survives. He was employed with Lafayette Manufacturing for 17 years, farmer and construction contractor. He was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors besides his wife, Linda of 46 years include, Daughter & son-in-law, Rita & David Turner of Red Boiling Springs; Son & Daughter-in-law, Todd & Donna Bohanan of Lafayette; Grandson, Devan Turner of Red Boiling Springs; Step-granddaughters, Michele Dallas & her Husband, Curtis of Lafayette; Kimberly Victory & her husband, Scott of Murfreesboro; Step-great-grandchildren, Zachariah and Isaiah Dallas, Savannah Victory; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Ed & Margaret Hix of Lafayette.
