Sandy “Dyer” Dowell, 39

  Sandy “Dyer” Dowell, age 39, of Lafayette, passed away Wed., Feb. 4, 2009, at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. Funeral services for Sandy “Dyer” Dowell were conducted Fri., Feb. 6, 2009 from the Chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tenn. with Brother Mike Shrum officiating. Interment followed in the Frog Pond Cemetery.

Her pallbearers were Carl Dowell, Jr., David Dowell, Dwight Dickens, Adam Knight, Sid Dyer, Randy Harrison, Clifford Woodard and Jason Davis. Sandy was born July 5, 1969 in Sumner County, Tenn., the daughter of Carl Wayne (Glenda) Dowell, Sr., of Cottontown and the late Willie Ann Kendall Dowell. Besides her mother, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Courtney Dowell and sister, Vicky Ragland. She was a Supervisor for Rock-Tenn in Gallatin, Tenn. with 5 years of service. She attended the New Hope Baptist Church. Besides her father,  She was survived by, devoted companion, Wayne Dyer, Lafayette; daughters & their companions, Kala Mayberry & Adam Knight, Lafayette,
Savanna Mayberry & Dwight Dickens, Lafayette, sisters, Cindy Williams, Millersville and Misty Allen, Cottontown; brothers, Carl “Buba” Dowell, Cottontown, Timothy Huntsman, Westmoreland; five grandchildren, Dakota,  Mitchell, Serenity and Autumn Knight, Noah Dickens.
