Wilburn Davis, 90

Wilburn Davis, age 90, of Thompkinsville, passed away Fri. Feb. 6, 2009. Funeral Services took place on Mon. from Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel with Eric Pitcock officiating. Burial took place in the Beautiful Home Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don Muse, Michael Strode, Dale Fudge, Bobby Jackson, Junior Deckard, and Joseph Crowe. He was born in Macon County, Tenn. on July 18, 1918 to the late John N. Davis and Myrtle Wood Davis. He was a member of the Gamaliel Church of Christ, a retired farmer, and a WWII Army veteran. He survived by one nephew, Harold Davis of Thompkinsville, KY; nieces, Shirley Austin of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. and Linda Faye Johnson of St. Joseph, Ill. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one sister, Eva Kingery, and four brothers, Charles, Elmer, Clyde and Eugene Davis.
