Susanna Jean Wilson Kindred-Martin, 81

Susanna Jean Wilson Kindred-Martin, age 81, of Cookeville, Tenn., and formerly of Lafayette, passed away March 15, 2009, at Smith County Health Care in Carthage, Tenn. Funeral services were conducted Wed., March 18, 2009, from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Bryan Morgan and Reverend Jonathan Martin officiating. Trent Percival, Tyler Mayberry, T.J. Harris, Adam Clemons, Jesse West, and Stacy Elrod served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Susanna Jean Wilson Kindred-Martin was born on March 14, 1928 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Charles Edward and Elizabeth Jean Brown Wilson. She was married to Leonard Porter Kindred in 1963, sharing twenty-two years together; he preceded her in death on September 16, 1985. Ms. Susanna, a mother and homemaker devoted her life, love, and faith to her family and her church. Her church knew her a Ms. Sue, and if you told her you loved her, she would tell you she loved you too; then she would say, “But Jesus loves you best”. She was a member of the Westmoreland Church of God. Ms. Susanna is survived by; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Don) West of Cookeville, Tenn., grandchildren, Jessica (Tyler) Mayberry, Trent Percival and Lindsey Taylor, Julie Percival, and Jesse West, great-grandchildren, Ethan Percival, and Nevaeh Mayberry, all of Cookeville, Tenn.
