Paul Wilson Gregory, 84

Paul Wilson Gregory, age 84, of the Rocky Mound Community in Macon County, Tenn., passed away May 28, 2009, at the Sumner Regional Hospice Center in Gallatin, Tenn. Funeral services were conducted Sun., May 31, 2009 from the Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Jeff Likens, Elder Dean Dyer, and Elder Michael Reid officiating. Donnie Rader, Brad Tuttle, Paul Butcher, Keith Carter, Gary Kepley, and George Campbell served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Rocky Mound Cemetery.

Paul Wilson Gregory was born on March 5, 1925 in Allen County, KY to the late Wilson Martin and Esmer Wolfe Gregory. He married the former Annie Pearl Taylor Gregory on November 18, 1944 in Franklin, KY, sharing sixty-three years together, and raising a daughter, Annie preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 2007. Besides his wife and parents, three brothers, Ray Gregory, and infants, Henry and James Gregory, three sisters, Lassie Meador, Corrine Taylor, and Vera Hudson Carter, also preceded him in death. Paul was a farmer his whole life, raising cattle and working in hay and tobacco. He also worked for International Harvester, about four years. He was a loving husband and father, enjoying the time he had with his family. Paul was a dedicated member of Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church, where he was ordained as a Deacon in Aug. 1965. He is lovingly survived by; daughter, Nancy (Eddy) Parrish of Westmoreland, Tenn., granddaughter, Melissa (Tony)Chandler, great-grandchildren, Todd and Sarha Chandler all of Lafayette, Tenn., brother, George (Dovie) Gregory of Adolphus, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
