Danny Lee Jones, 57

Danny Lee Jones, age 57, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and formerly of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away Sept. 6, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Sat., Sept. 12, 2009, from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Kevin Harrison officiating. Barry Polston, Zachary Polston, Bryan Jones, Britton Willis, Billy Jones, and Donald Jones served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors.

Danny Lee Jones was born on June 2, 1952 in Macon County, Tennessee, to the late William Leslie and Mildred Hollis Stewart Jones. He married the former InHee Hwang Jones on June 5, 1986, sharing twenty-three years together and raising two sons.  Besides his parents; a sister, Carla Sue Willis, preceded him in death. Danny was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed sitting back and listening to his sons sing and play their instruments. He was a captain in the Army, serving two terms in the Korean War, before retiring in 1994. When he returned to the states he worked for a clinic in Oklahoma, Snyder Medical Clinic and Comanche Memorial Hospital for the last fourteen years as a Physicians Assistant. His co-workers wrote, “The best boss in the whole wide world. You were our father, brother, and friend. You will be missed,” “One of the best doctors I ever had,” and “Number one doctor who took the time to explain and listen, making patients feel special.” Danny enjoyed golfing, fishing, and watching Tennessee Football games. Danny was a member of Physicians Assistant Association and had been a member of Cameron Baptist Church for the last nine years. Danny is survived by; wife, InHee Jones, sons, Eric and Daniel Jones of Lawton, Oklahoma, brothers, Donald (Sammie) Jones of Lafayette, Tenn., Billy (Ann) Jones of Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.
