Jr. Bulldogs Host Rainy Saturday Game

By: Misty Green
Rain began to pour down at the start of the second half of the Red Boiling Springs Junior High football game last Saturday, August 21, 2010, making the scoreless battle against Cannon County one that could change at any given moment.

Both teams, unaccustomed to the slippery conditions, were struggling to stay afloat in the game, leaving the third period score 0-0.

RBS’ quarterback Alex Mullinix and the Bulldog team achieved a first down at the 38 yard line with three minutes left on the game clock, however unfavorable conditions forced a turn over on downs. Cannon County picked up six points before the games end to return with the  6-0 victory.

Red Boiling Springs Jr. High plans to host Watertown on Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Kick off 6:30 p.m.
