MCHS vs. Greenbrier
After Last Friday night’s unexpected victory against the Owls of Smith County, the Tigers seemed to have picked up some momentum going into face another top-notched school, the Bobcats of Greenbrier High School.
Last year’s graduation snatched up all of last year’s starting Bobcat linemen, and Macon County aimed to take advantage of that side of the ball during last Friday night’s contest, October 1, 2010.
As the Tigers stepped on to the grid-iron and scored their first touchdown early in the game, Macon County understood that their offense was still in good condition.
Greenbrier scored again in the second period to lead 13-0 going into the break.
In the third quarter, a deep center pass from Tiger quarterback Dallas Grace landed into the hands of Zack Shockley for a gain of 21 yards and a touchdown.
This would be the last score Macon County would achieve against the bobcats, losing the game by a final score of 26-6.
Macon County is scheduled to travel to Dekalb County next Friday night, October 8, 2010.
