MCHS Girls Golf Team Wins Regional Tourney

The MCHS Golf Team attended the Regional Tournament held at Montgomery Bell State Park Golf Course in Dickson, TN on Monday September 27, 2010.

The MCHS Girls won first place with score of 162, followed by Creekwood 163, Hume-Fogg 172, Goodpasture 174, David Lipscomb 183, Mongtomery Central 205.

Girls scores were Kaitlin Cartwright 80, Lauren Gammons 82, and Kaleigh Chitwood 87.

Kaitlin Cartwright took 3rd medalist and Lauren Gammons took 4th medalist.

The MCHS girls team will now move on to the State Tournament to be held next week at Willow Brook Golf Course in Manchester, TN.

The MCHS Boy’s team came in sixth place with a score of 375. Goodpasture came in first with score of 306, and the rest as follows: Greenbrier 319, CPA 350, Hume-Fogg 357, Clarksville Academy 362.

Zach Polston tied for third place and won a 2-hole playoff to go to the state tournament as an individual.
Macon’s Boys individual scores were:  Zach Polston 75, Austin Williams 84, Collin Linville 91, Trey Reid 95 and Ian Whittemore 97.
