MCHS Tiger Football

The Macon County High School Football team hosted White House on October 15 and was unable to overpower their opponent for a 37-6 loss.

There were no scores in the first period of the game, and three consecutive touchdowns by the Blue Devils opening the second quarter of this challenge, left Macon County scrambling to create some points before halftime.

At 2:17 in the first half, a Macon County pass by quarterback Dallas Grace landed in the arms of Tyler Manning, who ran in a 29-yard touchdown. The PAT failed, leaving the Tigers trailing 20-6. White House would pick up one more run before the buzzer to lead 27-6 at the break.

Macon County returned with a little more gusto in the second half, and put a damper on the previous White House scoring streak. The Blue Devils would find a 28-yard field goal in the middle of the third period for a three point advantage. The last score of the game was achieved by the visitors, allowing them to return with a final score of 37-6.

Macon County will travel to Livingston Academy on October 22, and plans to face Westmoreland at home on October 29, for the last game of the season.
