Swindle, Painter, and Emberton Advance to TSSAA State Cross Country Meet

The Macon County Cross Country team participated in the Region 5 A-AA meet on the Steeplechase Course at Percy Warner Park on October 28, 2010.

The girls team placed fourth for Macon County, in the girls 5k run. Katie Swindle led the team by placing 3rd with a time of 21:14.60, followed by Mackenzie Painter placing 10th with a time of 22:31.10, Jasmine Chaparro placing 20th with a time of 23:42.70, Terra Pryor placing 34th with a time of 25:18.90, Meerim Talipova placing 37th with a time of 25:47.40, Katie Hix placing 47th with a time of 26:35.50, and Casandra Wilson placing 60th with a time of 29:18.00.

The boys team placed 6th for Macon County in the boys 5K run. Andrew Emberton led the team by placing 7th with a time of 17:42.20, followed by Taylor Boxold placing 29th with a time of 19:03.70, Mason Doss placed 30th with a time of 19:04.80, Seth Smith placed 38th with a time of 19:19.70, Jordan Kemp placed 62nd with a time of 20:32.90, Corey Eden placed 80th with a time of 22:05.90, Dylan Sexton placed 95th with a time of 24:13.30.
