Jr. Pro Basketball League News

We continued our league this past Saturday as we had 10 exciting basketball games taking place.  The 1st game was a 6-8 girls’ game and had Joey Wilkerson’s team defeating Matt Wilson’s team 25-2.  For Joey, Chloe Donoho had 16 points,Kennedy Fleming had 4, Keleigh Wilkerson and Victoria Dillon had 2 each and Allie Cliburn had 1.  For Matt, Kyndal Ludick had 2.

The 2nd game was a 6-8 girls’ game and had Nathan Gregory’s team winning over Chris Crowder’s team 24-0.  For Nathan, Abby Shoulders had 8, Jalynn Gregory and Allexis West had 6 each and Savannah Colvin and Mattie Butler had 2.

The 3rd game was a 6-8 boys’ game and had Donnie Crawford’s team defeating Wes Clayborne’s team 13-10.  For Donnie, Logan Whittemore had 9 and Tanner Gann had 4.  For Wes, Gavin Clayborne had 4 and Landon Colter, Carson Pedigo and Elliot McGuire had 2 each.

The 4th game was a 6-8 boys’ game and had Grace and Manning’s team winning over Greg Cline’s team 10-5.  For Grace and Manning, Connor Johnson had 7 and Alex Villanveva had 2.  For Greg, Lake Reid had 3 and Brody Clariday had 2.

The 5th game was a 6-8 boys’ game and had Derek Meador’s team defeating Brian Long’s team 33-5.  For Derek, Connor Trent had 17 points, Isaac Meador had 10 and Ryan Underwood had 6.  For Brian, Zach Long had 3 and Dennis West had 2.

The 6th game was a 9-12 girls’ game and had Shawn Carter’s team winning over Kylie Clark’s team 19-13.  For Shawn, Keeley Clariday had 8 points, Bailey Porter had 6, Keeley Carter had 3 and Morgan Carter had 2.  For Kylie, Cayley Tuck had 9 and Hannah Kemp and Bailey Morgan had 2 each.

The 7th game was a 9-12 girls’ game and had Chad Shoulders’ team defeating Anthony Bullington’s team 16-2.  For Chad, Mallory Owens had 9, McKaylee Mix, Olivia Belton and Kammie Yates had 2 each and Matteson Goolsby had 1.  For Anthony, Brooklyn Brawner had 2 points.

The 8th game was a 9-12 boys’ game and had Barry Polston’s team winning over Dewayne Cook’s team 19-18.  For Barry, Spencer Hogin had 10 points, Landon Polston had 4, Ben Burrow had 3 and Kade Allen had 2.  For Dewayne, Josh Hauskins had 6 points, Kelton Ballou and Owen Morgan had 5 each and Trent Cook had 2.

The 9th game was a 9-12 boys’ game and had Brian Long’s team defeating Joseph Cross’s team 41-20.  For Brian, Hunter Kirk had 14, Chase Long had 11, Michael Tirjan had 8, Josh Tirjan had 6 and Johnathan Pruitte had 2.  For Joseph, Carson Brawner had 10, Cameron Welch had 5, Brayden Miller had 3 and Hayden Wright had 2.

The 10th and final game was a 9-12 boys’ game and had Connie Shrum’s team winning over Donnie Crawford’s team 56-2.  For Connie, Cayden Shrum had 18, Kendrick Carter had 13, Heston King had 8, Cole Carnahan had 7 and Isaac Belton, Jared Hill, Dillon McFerrin, Corey Cramer and Seth Barber all had 2.  For Donnie, Ethan Wakefield had 2 points.

Also, for last week, our 9th game was left out and it was a 9-12 boys’ game and had Brian Long’s team winning over Donnie Crawford’s team 38-3.  For Brian, Chase Long had 24 points, Michael Tirjan had 8 and Hunter Kirk had 6.  For Donnie, Logan Thompson had 3 points.

We will continue our season next week with another 10 games of basketball action.  I want to invite the community to come out and show your support for all these young ladies and young men as they show off their basketball skills.  Until next week, keep shooting those hoops and see ya on the court!
