  The MCHS Tigers were handed their first loss on the
season Friday night by the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets in front of a packed
Tiger Stadium. 


  After a scoreless 1st quarter the Tigers get on
the scoreboard first as Dallas Grace scores on a QB sneak on the first play of
the second quarter.  Carson Cook’s PAT
was good Tigers led 7-0.The ensuing Kickoff was returned 91 yards by Kenyon
Harper and the PAT was good and the score then stood at 7-7.  After a three and out by the Tigers, TC
scores again on a run by Turner from 15 yards. PAT good, TC leads 14-7.  On the very next Tiger possession Turczyn blocked
Grace’s punt and picks it up and scores. PAT good, Yellow Jackets Lead 21-7.
The Tigers answer right back as Grace connects with Manning on a perfectly
executed middle screen that goes for 75 yards and a TD.  Cook adds the PAT, Tigers trail 21-14. On third
and long Murphree connects with Harper for an eleven yard TD with only 23
seconds left in the half to make the halftime score 28-14 Yellow Jackets. 

  Trousdale scored
again on their opening possession of the 3
rd quarter to make the
score 35-14.  The Tigers score on their
next possession as Grace connects with Manning with an 18 yard TD pass; Cook adds
the PAT and Tigers trail 35-21.  TC
scores late in the 3
rd on a 57 yard pass from Murphree to Turczyn; TC
then led 42-21. 

  Sanders hit a 17
yard FG early in the 4
th to extend the TC lead to 45-21. Macon’s William
Bandy scored on an 8 yard run with 5:45 to go in the game. The 2pt conversion
failed and the Tigers trailed 45-27. 
Jordan Harper scores on a 34 yard TD run with 2:20 left in the game to
make the final score 52-27. 

  The Tigers fall to
1-1 on the season.  Coach Pemberton said
after the game “we will go back to work this week and get this ship righted
.  We have another
tough opponent next week against Goodpasture”. 
The game is scheduled for a 7:00 PM kickoff.  “I’ll see you at the game.”
