Macon County Cross Country
On Tuesday September 13th,
the Macon County Junior High competed in an All-Comers Mid Week meet. The boys
team placed 2nd out of all the teams in attendance.
On
Saturday September 17th,
Macon County Cross Country teams participated in the 2nd Annual Backyard Invite
held on the Voyle’s farm in White County. Markie Voyles was a cross country and
track athlete who attended White County High School but competed with and won a
state title for Macon County in track.
The girls finished in third place behind Rhea
Co and Cookeville. Finishers were Katie Swindle (3rd), Katie Hix (9th),
Jasmine Chaparro
(17th), Logan Hernandez (18th), Daisy McClanahan (28th),
Taylor Stafford (43rd), Jena Dziekiewicz (53rd), and
Casandra Wilson (58th). The boys finished in eighth place with
scores by: Andrew Emberton (4th), Jorden Kemp (34th),
Juan Augustin (47th), Ryan Avera(56th), and Dylan
Meador(72nd).
