MCJHS Drops Close one to Livingston
The MCJH
Tigers traveled to Hog-eye country Thursday September 22 , to take on the
wildcats of Overton County Middle School.
The first half was a defensive struggle for both teams. The Tigers made a goal-line stand just before
the half to keep the score 0-0.
The Wild Cats scored
first in the third quarter and added a 2pt conversion and led 8-0. The Tigers answered right back with a TD run
by Carman. The 2 point play failed and
the Tigers trailed 8-6. The fourth
quarter saw no scoring by either team but the Tigers defense made another
goal-line stand late. However, the offense just couldn’t get on the board. The final outcome was MCJHS 8 Livingston
Academy 6.
The Tiger fall to
4-2 on the season and will face Westmoreland at home Tuesday night for homecoming. The homecoming ceremonies are scheduled for
5:00 with the kick-off set for 6:30.
Come out and cheer the Tigers on to victory and “I’ll see you at the
game.”
