RBS Homecoming

The Red Boiling Springs High School Bulldogs football team
welcomed Taft Youth Center last Friday night, September 23, for the 2011
Homecoming game, and fell (2-4) to the visiting Tigers in a complete shutout,
with a final score of 28-0.



  The Taft Tigers marked the scoreboard with a 1-yd run to
open the game, then was held back by the Bulldogs for the remainder of the
half. The Tigers returned from the break to to achieve one run in the third
quarter, and two in the fourth to win the game.

  

  The Bulldogs were 6-25-36 in passing, 28-103-0 in rushing,
6-36-0 in receiving, had nine first downs, recovered three fumbles, were 3-20
in penalty yards, and made one interception during the game. The Tigers were
2-3-17 in passing, 44-44-0 in rushing, and were 7-70 in penalty yards.

 

  Bulldog quarterback Cody Dickens threw 6/25 for 36 yards and
one interception. In rushing: A.J. Dale was 16-106; Cody Dickens 6- -14;
Terrance Alexander was 4-8; and Dakota Dickens was 2-3. In receiving: Matt
French had five carries for 34 yards, and Kason Wix had one carry for two
yards.

 

  Red Boiling Springs will host Gordonsville this coming
Friday night, September 30, 2011. Kick off is set for 7 p.m. The Bulldogs will
travel to Monterey on October 7th, and host Jackson County on October 14th.
