Jackson Co. Rolls Past RBS in Last Home Game

  The Red Boiling Springs High School
football team welcomed Jackson County to the grid iron on the hill last Friday
night, October 14, 2011 and was handed a 24-14 defeat after four quarters of
play by the visiting Blue Devils.


  The only score of the opening round came with
Jackson County kicking a 37-yd. field goal. The Blue Devils continued to
advance in the second quarter with one touchdown followed by an extra-pt. kick.
  Red Boiling Springs returned from the
half time break on fire, taking the lead with two touchdowns by quarterback
Cody Dickens and two PATs by Dakota Dickens. RBS 14, JCHS 10.
  The Blue Devils were prevented from
answering in the third period, however they were able to reclaim their lead in
the final quarter of play with a 28-yd. touchdown pass and a 4-yd. touchdown
run, thus claiming the victory as the final buzzer sounded.
