MCHS Cross Country Competes in Conference Championship

The Macon County High School Cross Country teams
competed in the Mid State Cross Country Championship this past Saturday October
15th at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna.
The Macon
County Girls ran in the Gold division, competing against the MSCCA top 19
teams, finishing 11th. The
times were as follows: Katie Swindle
finished 16th with a time of 20:19.11, Katie Hix (35th)in
21:37.68, Logan Hernandez (59th)in 22:40.47, Jasmine Chaparro (62nd)
in 22:42.09, Daisy McClanahan (108th)in 25:26.97, Taylor Stafford
(117th) in 26:40.85, Casandra Wilson (119th) in 27:00.46
and Jena Dziekiewicz (88th
in JV) in 31:59.73.
The Boys competed in the Silver division,
finishing 17th out of 30 teams. Their times were: Andrew Emberton (3rd) in 16:55.77,
Jorden Kemp (62nd) in 19:32.92, Dylan Meador (92nd) in
20:05.13, Dylan Sexton (147th) in 21:26.87, and Ryan Avera (172nd)
in 22:50.16.
The next
meet for MCHS will be the Region 5 A-AA Championship on October, 27 at the
Steeplechase course at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.
