MCHS Cross Country Competes in Conference Championship

  The Macon County High School Cross Country teams
competed in the Mid State Cross Country Championship this past Saturday October
15^th at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna.

  The Macon
County Girls ran in the Gold division, competing against the MSCCA top 19
teams, finishing 11^th.  The
times were as follows:  Katie Swindle
finished 16^th with a time of 20:19.11, Katie Hix (35^th)in
21:37.68, Logan Hernandez (59^th)in 22:40.47, Jasmine Chaparro (62^nd)
in 22:42.09, Daisy McClanahan (108^th)in 25:26.97, Taylor Stafford
(117^th) in 26:40.85, Casandra Wilson (119^th) in 27:00.46
and Jena Dziekiewicz (88^th
in JV) in 31:59.73.

   The Boys competed in the Silver division,
finishing 17^th out of 30 teams. Their times were:  Andrew Emberton (3^rd) in 16:55.77,
Jorden Kemp (62^nd) in 19:32.92, Dylan Meador (92^nd) in
20:05.13, Dylan Sexton (147^th) in 21:26.87, and Ryan Avera (172^nd)
in 22:50.16.

  The next
meet for MCHS will be the Region 5 A-AA Championship on October, 27 at the
Steeplechase course at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.
