RBSJH Boys Lose at Celina

What a difference in home court advantage means was on display last thursday night as The Celina Bulldogs got even for the lopsided loss to Red Boiling Springs last week. This time the game was played at Celina and the kids from Clay Co. were victorius 45-39.
Thanks to some poor shooting by Red Boiling Springs in the early stages of this game Celina jumped out to a 10-7 lead after the first quarter thanks also to their 2-3 match-up zone defense. Tyler Carlise scored 6 points while Seth Carlise added a free throw for the Bulldogs.
The pace got a lot faster in the second quarter as the Bulldogs found their shooting touch knocking down 3 long 3-pointers one each by Tim Jones and Seth Carlise while Chance Asberry found his shooting touch for a long 3.Celina would not let up and still had a half time lead 24-20.
The third quarter was rough on both teams as turnovers and sloppy defense and a lot of blocked shots by Celina kept the Clay county kids ahead 32-26 going into the fourth quarter.
Red Boiling Springs came out found their shooting touch by scoring 13 points in the first 5 minutes but Celina was also making shots and they mainted the lead all the way from the opening tip to the final horn.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Tyler Carlise with 16 points followed by Chance Asberry with 8 pointswhile Seth Carlise added 7 points. Tim Jones had 3 points and Chase Long and Josh Tirjan added a basket each.
