Macon Junior High hosts RBS

  On Monday December 12th, Macon County Junior High hosted Red Boiling Springs Junior High. It was the second meeting of the season for the two schools.



  In girls action, the Bulldogs came ready to play. Three point shooting from Olivia Atkins propelled RBS to a 1st Qtr lead of 10-6. MCJHS came alive with seven different players scoring and at the half the score was Macon 27 RBS 15. Some tough MCJHS defense closed out the game as Macon wins by a score of 46-25.

  Scoring for RBS was: Kristen Stacey 5, Madison Medrano 4, Alexis Ouelette 1, Olivia Atkins 11, Priscilla Reagan 3, and Lauren Henson 1. Cayley Tuck, Abby Tuck, Leanne Henderson, Alicia Gentry, Shaylee Ellingson, Savannah Thomas, Caylie Gann, and Natalie Jones all played but did not score.

 Scoring for MCJHS was: Lindsey Belton 7, Kassidy Brooks 2, Lucy Allen 6, Paige Clark 14, Abby Welch 4, Brandi Garmon 6, Kenzie Green 2, Jenna Russell 1, Jordan Hauskins 3, and Sarah Carter 1. Allie Dixon and McKenzie Mercer played but did not score.

 In the boys game, Macon jumped to out to an early lead and never looked back. The final score was MCJHS 43 RBS 20.

  Scoring for MCJHS was: Evan Perrigo 9, Clay Carnahan 1, Kendrick Carter 13, Trace McPherson 7, Michael Ashburn 4, Matt Hudson 4, Gene Carman IV 3, and Jed Coley 2. Matt Austin, Dillon Swindle, Trevor Swindle, Nick Hill, and Tanner Lowhorn all played but did not score.

  Scoring for RBS was: Tyler Carlile 8, Seth Carlile 3, Chase Long 2, Cole Dzickiewicz 3, Justin Bergdorf 2, and Chris Ray 2. Chance Asberry, Wesley Fleming, Tim Jones, Donovan Grenead, Owen Morgan, Bailey Anderson, Josh Tirjan, and Dustin Bergdorf all played but did not score.
