MCHS Football Booster Ham Breakfast

3-13mchsfb

Just about everyone loves breakfast. The Macon County Football Booster Club held its annual ham breakfast this past Saturday, March 10th, 2012. It was the sixteenth year for the fundraiser, held to raise money for the football program at Macon County High School.

Members of the local booster club gathered early for the event. Supporters began cooking by 5 a.m. in order to serve fans country ham, fresh sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, jelly and butter, juice and coffee. You could eat in the Lafayette Elementary cafeteria or you could take a plate to go while six dollars bought the terrific all-you-could-eat meal.

Many members of the MCHS Football team were present. In addition to the great breakfast, residents in the city were able to call in orders and have them delivered by the young student athletes.

The MCHS Football Booster Club would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the organization. They estimate that there were over 400 plates served to the hungry public. The team and the club hopes to work hard in the off season with more fundraisers.
